We are excited to invite families to join us on Tuesday, June 23, for our End-of-Year Assembly and Summer Celebration Picnic!

We are looking forward to a day filled with fun, laughter, and community as we celebrate our first year at Parkhill School.

Schedule of Events

10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
Mason Sister Hoop Dancers – Outdoor Performance

Families are welcome to attend. Please bring a lawn chair for seating.

11:30 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.
Family Picnic Lunch

Families are invited to enjoy a picnic lunch on the school grounds or in the gym for shade. Please note that lunch will not be provided; however, our PAC will have pizza available for pre-purchase as a fundraiser to support adding a sandbox to our school yard. Pizza order information will be sent separately, and orders are due by SUNDAY, JUNE 21st.

Students whose families are unable to attend will enjoy lunch with their teachers and classmates. Homeroom teachers will send home additional information and ask families to indicate who their child will be eating lunch with during the event.

In the event of rain, both the performance and picnic lunch will be moved indoors.

12:15 p.m. – 12:45 p.m. (If it is hot, we may shorten this time)
Outdoor Recess (staff supervised)
12:45 p.m. – 2:15 p.m.
Cool Down and Quiet Activities

Students will return to their classrooms for cool-down time and quiet activities. This portion of the day is for students and staff only and will not be open to families.

2:15 p.m. – 3:10 p.m.
Outdoor Fun Stations and Freezies

Families are welcome to attend as students participate in a variety of outdoor activity stations to celebrate the final days of the school year.

3:10 p.m. – 3:25 p.m.
Water Fun with the Steinbach Fire Department

The Steinbach Fire Department will be visiting with their water truck to help us celebrate the end of the school year. Students should bring a bathing suit or wear clothing that they are comfortable getting wet in.

Students who would prefer not to participate in the water activities will have access to a designated dry zone.

Important Reminders
We are expecting all students to remain at school for the full day. If you need to take your child home at any point during the day, please follow our regular procedure and sign them out through the school office.

To help your child enjoy the day comfortably, please send them with:

  • Sunscreen
  • A hat
  • A water bottle
  • A towel
  • A bathing suit or clothes that are comfortable getting wet in

We hope this will be a fun and memorable day for all students as we celebrate a wonderful year of learning, growth, and community at Parkhill School.
