Library Procedures & Expectations
Our school library is a shared resource that all students are encouraged to enjoy. To ensure our collection remains in good condition and accessible to everyone, we ask families to review and support the following guidelines:
- Return materials promptly: Please ensure all library books are returned on time so others may enjoy them.
- Overdue items: Books that remain overdue for an extended period may be considered lost, and the replacement cost may be charged to the student’s account.
- Damaged materials: All damage will be assessed by the librarian. Repair or replacement decisions will be made at the school.
- Do not repair books at home: While we appreciate the intention to help, our library is equipped with specialized supplies and techniques to ensure durable, long-lasting repairs. Home repairs (such as tape) can sometimes cause further damage.
- Take care of library materials: Please encourage students to keep books in a safe, dry place, away from food, drinks, and pets.
- Report issues early: If a book is damaged or lost, please notify the library as soon as possible so we can work together on a solution.
